Morgan Thornton, President and Broadcaster at Midnight Studios 23, has a passion for a wide range of music and helping artists reach new heights.

With a background in audio-visual engineering, performing and years working with a Dallas-based nightclub conglomerate, Morgan brings a unique understanding of sound, visual, performance and business acumen to new and developing artists. Morgan’s goal for MS23 is to support artists while still allowing artists to maintain control of their music, creativity, careers and finances, unlike those signed with the big labels.

At the age of 9, Morgan learned audio-visual engineering at his local church, supporting a congregation of over 2,600. By age 11, he was running the program solo. He expanded his reach by performing audio-visual engineering services for 4 bands in the DFW Metroplex by the age of 12. At 16, he was asked to provide A/V at his high school for a 3,200 ticket sold out Lee Bryce show in their state-of-the-art auditorium.

Morgan is no stranger to the stage, either. At 18, he was performing duets with his friends band and helping setup and breakdown equipment for their shows. In his 20s, he began working for a multi-location nightclub group in several of their clubs. In addition to A/V engineering, he identified prospective bands for the clubs and assisted with planning and executing shows, productions and festivals.

He left the industry after being heavily influenced to believe that music isn’t a career. But music has always been a part of his life and in 2023 he was able to find his way back to the industry that he is so passionate about. The negative advice he received only helps to fuel Morgan’s devotion to helping developing artists through his new and constantly expanding venture – Midnight Studios 23 LLC.

Music has been a lifeline for me, saving me on several occasions just as it has for so many others. My musical tastes are far from confined to a single genre. Growing up, I immersed myself in the heartfelt melodies of country, the electrifying riffs of hard rock, and the compelling beats of hip hop. At 19, I discovered the transformative world of house and techno music, adding yet another layer to my diverse musical palette.

Today, I am an avid listener of new country, pop, house/dance, alternative, and rock, among other genres. Each style brings its own unique flavor to my life, and I revel in exploring the ever-evolving landscape of music.

At MS23, I am proud to serve as the Vice President and a broadcaster. I host talk shows that delve into the realms of music and everyday life, play tracks from our talented artists, and conduct live streams that celebrate our artists, our brand, and the intricacies of life in general. I hope you’ll tune in to one of our broadcasts and join our vibrant conversations.

In addition to broadcasting, I concentrate on identifying new venues for our artists to perform in and exploring opportunities with those venues. With my background in restaurant and bar management, I understand the unique requirements of venues when booking performances.

Supporting our artists and providing them with a space to truly express their unique selves is a passion of mine. Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to sharing this incredible musical journey with you.

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

From a young age, my passion and love for music were ignited during a summer when I was just nine years old. It all began when my mother participated in a local production of Oklahoma, and I was captivated by the magic of the stage. This experience sparked a fire within me, leading me to join the choir in high school and even become a part of the adult church choir at just fourteen.

While my love for music was undeniable, I also discovered a deep-rooted passion for numbers and spreadsheets. This led me to pursue a career in accounting, where I have dedicated over 20 years honing my skills and expertise in financial management and analysis.

Now, as I embark on this exciting new venture, I am thrilled to merge my two passions together. With my extensive accounting background and my unwavering love for music, I bring a unique and invaluable talent to the table. My ability to navigate complex financial landscapes and analyze data with precision allows me to contribute to this talented and vibrant industry in a truly exceptional way.

As I step into this new chapter, I am eager to combine my expertise in numbers with my unwavering passion for music. Together, we will create harmonious success and unlock the full potential of this rich, creative journey.

SECRETARY

Music has been my passion from a tender age, with the melodies of the grand piano at my grandmother’s house in the serene backdrop of Maine kindling my creative spirit.

My collaboration with MS23 stems from a shared vision to carve out unique pathways for budding artists and offer valuable insights into the intricacies of the music industry. As a musician in my college town, I strive to foster a supportive environment for emerging talents to thrive.

When it comes to broadcasting, I am excited about unraveling intriguing facts about the symbiotic relationship between the brain and music. I am eager to guide future artists in navigating social strategies and engaging activities across both online and offline platforms.

Presently, I am engrossed in composing personal compositions and contributing to the soundtrack of student films in collaboration with my university’s esteemed film department.

With experience spanning from sound engineering to performing as a Collegiate Classical Musician and marching alongside the prestigious F.S.U. Marching Chiefs, I am dedicated to honing my craft. Additionally, I engage with the local music scene as a karaoke MC, part-time performer, and lend my expertise as a sound engineer within the university’s college of music.

Looking ahead, my partnership with MS23 promises a voyage of discovery as I anticipate meeting inspiring individuals and delving into a diverse tapestry of musical genres and styles. I aspire to forge meaningful connections, both professionally and personally, and immerse myself in fresh musical experiences.
